Ottawa Answers the Call: The Capital and the Great War
The Bytown Museum has created an interesting exhibit that looks at Ottawa’s contributions to the First World War. As 2014 marks the start of the centenary of the First World War, this is an excellent opportunity for residents and visitors alike to learn more about this important era in history, as well as learn about local connections.
Many ordinary citizens in Ottawa volunteered to do their part to help with the war effort in many different ways.  This exhibit allows visitors to explore photographs, artefacts, historic documents, trench art, and more. Come explore the fascinating wartime contributions of nurses, soldiers, sailors, politicians, and so many more.
The exhibit runs from April 9th 2014 to January 18th, 2015.
